A House panel is launching a civil rights investigation into Harvard University, joining President Donald Trump in his campaign against the school.

House Government Oversight Chair James Comer, a stalwart Republican ally of the president, informed the university in a letter dated Thursday the panel is investigating Harvard for alleged “lack of compliance” with civil rights laws. Representative Elise Stefanik, a Harvard graduate said to be considering a run for New York governor, co-signed the letter.
