Sudan Takes UAE to International Court Over Genocide Accusation

The International Court of Justice began hearing Sudan’s case of complicity in genocide against the United Arab Emirates for its alleged involvement in the North African country’s brutal civil war, the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Sudan accuses the UAE of providing arms and cash to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, which has been fighting its army for control of the country since April 2023. The war displaced more than 12 million people, according to the United Nations, and destroyed much of the capital, Khartoum.
