The Dutch government seeks to loosen controversial rent control measures which critics say exacerbated the country’s housing crisis.

The move seeks to roll back part of the Affordable Rent Act introduced last year and put an end to landlords offloading properties that are no longer profitable, public broadcaster NOS reported, citing Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning Mona Keijzer.
