Polish inflation undershot economist expectations for a fourth straight month in March, deepening concerns over central bank projections predicting sticky price growth.
The country’s consumer price index grew 4.9% this month, compared with a 5.1% median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of 24 economists. The flash result, published by the statistical office on Monday, shows that inflation has remained steady in the first quarter, while the central bank’s latest staff forecast saw inflation rising to 5.4% in January-March.
