The Trump administration is employing a little-used immigration provision to try to deport a Palestinian activist with permanent residency status in the US.

Mahmoud Khalil, a recent student at Columbia University, was arrested by immigration officers over the weekend after months of helping lead anti-Israel protests at the Ivy League campus.
