Administrators at New York City’s Barnard College are squaring off against student protesters for the first time since the Trump administration intensified scrutiny over the response to antisemitism on American campuses.
The demonstrators want Barnard to reinstate two students they say were expelled for disrupting a History of Modern Israel class at Columbia University about a month ago. After storming a campus building Wednesday, a student protest group said it was set to meet with administrators Thursday afternoon, but talks were called off after students refused to unmask.
