Finland Proposes Rehn for New Term as Central Bank Governor

European Central Bank Governing Council member Olli Rehn is set to be appointed for a second seven-year term as the governor of Finland’s central bank.

The parliamentary supervisory council said on Friday it proposes the 62-year-old for a second term, effective from July 12 when his current tenure ends, according to a statement. His appointment will be formally made by President Alexander Stubb.
