Chile’s central bank turned more hawkish in the minutes of its latest meeting, saying it would do whatever it takes to bring inflation back to target.

Policymakers voted unanimously to keep borrowing costs on hold at 5% on Jan. 28, the bank’s first pause in an easing cycle since July. The minutes called it the only “plausible” decision.
