Newell Brands Inc., which owns the Graco brand of baby gear, says child car seats may get more expensive this spring and summer due to tariffs on goods imported from China.

The company said it may have no other choice but to raise prices if car seats aren’t exempt from tariffs like they were when President Donald Trump slapped tariffs on Chinese imports during his first term. Newell, which also owns the Mr. Coffee and Rubbermaid brands, says it will first try to lower production costs to help offset the import levy.
