Kosovo’s prime minister may struggle to form a new government after falling short of the majority he’d need to push through nationalist policies and anti-corruption measures on his own.
Albin Kurti’s Self-Determination Movement secured 41% of the parliamentary vote on Sunday, according to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission. While many voters in the Balkan country rallied behind his campaign to root out corruption and integrate Serb-majority communities, the tally was far off the outright majority Kurti won in 2021.
