Jeff Beck was widely marveled at for his ability to do things with a guitar that most musicians could only dream of. His use of the whammy bar and fingerstyle techniques created sounds that won worldwide acclaim, eight Grammy Awards and two inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame over his career, which spanned his debut for the Yardbirds (replacing Eric Clapton) in March 1965 to his last tour, in 2022, with Johnny Depp in support of their collaborative album, 18.

Now, two years after Beck’s death, fans and collectors will have the opportunity to own a piece of the legendary guitarist’s history. On Wednesday at 1 p.m. local time, Christie’s London is auctioning more than 130 guitars, amps and “tools-of-the-trade” from his personal collection, which he used throughout his almost six-decade-long career.
