Lara Trump said she’s removing her name from consideration for a US Senate seat that’s expected to open up in Florida, according to a post on her X account.

President-elect Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law had been eyeing the position as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis seeks a replacement for Marco Rubio in the Senate. Trump has nominated Rubio for secretary of state.
