Democrats Coalesce Around Harris as Whitmer, Moore Back Campaign

Notable Democrats including swing-state governors, top lawmakers and Bill and Hillary Clinton were quick to endorse Kamala Harris as the party’s presidential candidate after Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Other high-profile figures focused their statements on praise for Biden without commenting on who his replacement should be. While some donors have called for an open nominating process to determine the candidate, a large share of prominent Democrats rallied around Harris.
