Buying a house in Spain is now more expensive than it was in 2007, when the country was heading into a devastating real estate crisis.
Property prices climbed 7.8% in May from a year earlier, reaching a new record high of €2,120 ($2,307) per square meter, according to Idealista, the country’s largest website for buying and selling property. The previous record was set in June 2007.
