Andrew Haigh’s elegiac, beautifully filmed All of Us Strangers shares a lot of DNA with Weekend, the writer-director’s much-lauded 2012 tale about a life-changing hookup in a gay bar. Once again, Haigh is interested in an encounter between two wounded people and how very hard it is to escape the past.
