The cost of buying ingredients to make Spanish Paella and Italian Pizza Margherita jumped again in October as two years of droughts and poor harvests continued to push up olive oil prices.

Bloomberg’s monthly index that calculates how much households in Spain need to spend to make the Mediterranean rice dish rose 20%, far outpacing a 3.5% year-on-year increase in the overall rate of inflation.
