Test-Driving the $245,000 Aston Martin DB12 in the Hills of Monte Carlo
The new sports car from the august British brand offers a host of upgrades over its predecessor, the DB11, but it’s overpriced for what you get.
While the Aston Martin DB12 shares aesthetic DNA with its predecessors, it has enough improvements to give it a personality all its own.

“Does this thing have a nose lift?” I asked the guy in the green polo shirt standing in the parking lot of the Maybourne Riviera, a white-tiered hotel perched cliffside above Monte Carlo.
The winged logo on his chest indicated he’d know whether the 2024 Aston Martin DB12 I was driving had the ability to boost itself an extra inch higher as I pulled into a traffic circle immediately at the exit.
