Housing Secretary Michael Gove said he was “concerned” over the UK’s rising mortgage rates yet offered no policy solutions to the homeowners who will be affected.
Gove told Sky News on Sunday that he was taking a “close interest” in the mortgage market, but added that the “best tax cut” ministers could offer was to help bring down inflation.
