Malaysia’s PM Reportedly Faces Defamation Suit From Ex-Leader Mahathir

Former Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad filed a 150 million ringgit ($33.8 million) defamation suit against Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim over comments made in a speech in March.
The suit was filed at the Shah Alam High Court registry on May 3, with case management scheduled for May 31, according to a statement by Mahathir’s lawyer, Rafique Rashid.
