The $350,000 Mercedes-AMG G63 4x4² Is an Unapologetic Joy Ride
Mercedes makes its iconic G-Wagen bigger, badder and—in a way I didn’t think possible—better.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 4x4² starts at $349,000. The one we tested costs $362,820.
Photographer: Ashton StaniszewskiWith a top roofline nearly eight feet high, the $349,000 Mercedes-AMG G63 4x4² is too tall to drive under the entry gate at the Bloomberg parking garage I use. It won’t fit on the curves of the ramps in the parking garages around Beverly Hills, where I like to window shop.
It takes strategic footwork and big oomph even for me—at 6 foot, 2 inches or more in my heels—just to climb into the cabin. (It has nearly 14 inches of ground clearance.)
