A Canadian-Israeli teenager was killed and at least 14 others wounded in twin attacks in Jerusalem on Wednesday, amid growing violence between Israelis and Palestinians.

The first blast detonated near a bus stop at the entrance to Jerusalem and a second exploded 30 minutes later near the Ramot junction in the city. Police said they suspected the two attacks were linked. Canada’s Ambassador to Israel, Lisa Stadelbauer, said in a tweet that the 15-year-old victim of the attack, Aryeh Schupak, was a Canadian national, while Israel’s foreign ministry confirmed that he also held Israeli citizenship. US Ambassador to Israel Thomas R Nides said in a tweet that two US citizens were among the injured.
