Argentina consumer prices rose 88% in October, according to government data published Tuesday, passing Turkey’s reading of 85.51% for the highest annual inflation among the Group of 20. The next highest is Italy’s at 12.8% and only four other members exceed 10%. Economists surveyed by Argentina’s central bank see consumer price increases hitting 100% this year, the first time private economists have projected triple-digit inflation, not seen in crisis-prone Argentina since the early 1990s.
