London Lures Top Facebook Executives

If Meta decides to give Europe extra attention, shareholders should be happy.

A sizable chunk of the executive team at Meta Platforms Inc.—Facebook, to you and me—is decamping to London. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri is the latest to swap Silicon Valley for the banks of the Thames, joining Nick Clegg, the erstwhile British politician who’s now Meta’s president of global affairs, and Chief Marketing Officer Alex Schultz.

All three have cited personal reasons for the move, according to the Financial Times. But if the corollary is that the $470 billion advertising technology company decides to give Europe some extra love and attention, Meta’s investors should be happy. Because there are three very good business justifications to beef up the European presence.
