US’s Supply-Chain Recovery Leaves LA Port Community in Its Dust
Wilmington residents have long dealt with the ups and downs of living next to the US’s busiest ports. The easing of congestion from the recent supply-crunch isn’t giving them any respite.

For some of the 50,000 locals of Wilmington, known as the “Heart of the Harbor,” the jolt from almost two years of supply-chain chaos has been an unending disruption to their daily lives. Empty containers stacked several stories high sit on empty lots, while noise and congestion now stretch into the night from the shift to some around-the-clock port operations.
