President Joe Biden praised Ireland for taking in Ukrainian refugees during a Thursday meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin that was hastily made virtual after the premier tested positive for Covid-19.
Ireland’s efforts to aid those fleeing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “speaks so loudly” about the country said Biden, who is of Irish descent, at the event to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
