Most Americans are melding their Thanksgiving-period shopping plans this year with the goal of avoiding crowds, according to a survey by Deloitte. Nowhere is that more evident than on Black Friday, the day after the big feast traditionally known for its doorbuster deals. For the first time ever, more consumers intend to shop online than in stores, a switch driven by the coronavirus pandemic.
