Asia’s biggest markets have had a wild ride during Donald Trump’s U.S. presidency, weathering a trade war with China, regional political instability and now a global pandemic.

Through it all, despite the geopolitical volatility, equities in both regions have been able to come out ahead compared with most global peers.
