Danish Economy Contracts Less Than Most as Virus Contained

Denmark’s economy shrank at a record pace in the second quarter, though less than much of the rest of western Europe, thanks to a relatively successful containment of the Covid-19 pandemic and the government’s support measures.

Gross domestic product fell 7.4% from the previous three months, according to a first estimate from Statistics Denmark.
