Bank Indonesia signaled it may pause its monetary policy easing cycle as it assesses the effects of this year’s interest-rate cuts on Southeast Asia’s largest economy.

“We want to see the impact on growth and inflation before we do the next cut,” Senior Deputy Governor Mirza Adityaswara told investors at a conference organized by Credit Suisse Group AG in Hong Kong on Thursday. Governor Agus Martowardojo told reporters in Jakarta on Friday that the bank must be careful in considering further easing.
