Tennis needs some spicing up, and Serena Williams is in just the place to do it. Bring on John McEnroe.
It’s hard to envision anyone other than Williams winning the women’s title at the U.S. Open, completing the first Grand Slam of all four tennis majors in a calendar year since Steffi Graf in 1988. It would be more of a shock if Williams -- aiming for her fourth straight U.S. Open title -- doesn’t win. Odds at Sportsbook.com give her a 64 percent chance of winning; everyone else combined has a 43 percent chance, based on the odds.
