Geno Smith already had no more than a tenuous hold on the New York Jets’ starting quarterback spot before a sucker punch from teammate IK Enemkpali sent him to the hospital and the sidelines for up to 10 weeks.
So it would make sense for Smith, who might not regain his job when his broken jaw has healed, to sue Enemkpali and seek damages for the quarterback’s potential loss of future earnings.
