Skymark Seeks JAL Tieup After Warning of Going Out of Business

Japan Airlines Co. and Skymark Airlines Inc. said they are discussing a possible partnership, three weeks after the latter reiterated there’s a risk of it going out of business.
Skymark, a low-cost carrier, has submitted a proposal for partnership and the details will be discussed, Japan Air spokesman Kentaro Nakamura said by phone today. Japan Air will initially consider code-sharing with Skymark, he said. No final decision has been taken, Skymark said.
