Hidetoshi Ohashi, a former head of fixed-income research for Morgan Stanley in Japan, has let go of a 50 percent stake in the investment advisory company he started on leaving the U.S. bank in 2012.
Ueda Yagi Tanshi Co., a market broker for transactions in Japan’s interbank market, agreed yesterday to invest in Ohashi’s Japan Credit Advisory Co., acquiring 50 percent of the voting rights, according to Shohei Ueda, president of the Tokyo-based brokerage. Ohashi will keep the remainder. Both parties declined to provide details on the size of the investment.
