Carlsberg Names Diageo’s Slay to Head U.K., Replacing Sheps

Carlsberg A/S, the world’s fourth-biggest brewer, appointed former Diageo Plc executive Benet Slay to head its U.K. business.
Slay, who was previously managing director of distiller Diageo’s Northern Europe unit, will take up the role of U.K. chief executive officer on March. 1, according to a statement from Copenhagen-based Carlsberg today. He replaces Isaac Sheps, who became head of Baltika Breweries, the biggest beermaker in Russia and Carlsberg’s largest unit, on Dec. 1.
