Peter Turchin is a founder of cliodynamics, a data-intensive field that combines history and complexity science to examine how societies evolve. He is a project leader at the Complexity Science Hub in Vienna and has authored several books including “End Times: Elites, Counter-Elites, and the Path of Political Disintegration.”
