Robert B. Reich is a Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California at Berkeley. Most recently he served as a Member of President Barack Obama’s economic transition advisory board. Prof. Reich has served in three national administrations, as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton (1993-97) where he implemented the Family & Medical Leave Act, led a national fight against sweatshops in the U.S. and illegal child labor around the world, headed the administration’s successful effort to raise the minimum wage, secured worker’s pensions & launched one-stop career centers and school-to-work initiatives. He is a former Harvard University professor. In 2008, Time Magazine named him one of the Ten Most Successful Cabinet Members of the century and The Wall Street Journal placed him among America's Top Ten Business Thinkers. He is the author of twelve books, including the best-sellers "The Work of Nations," and, most recently, "Supercapitalism."
